02What we do not set
This is a deliberate decision rather than an oversight. Our visitors are lawyers researching a vendor for confidential client work, and building a behavioural profile of them would be inconsistent with what we ask them to trust us with.
- No advertising or retargeting cookies.
- No cross-site tracking pixels, and no social media tracking widgets.
- No third-party analytics that build a profile across sites.
- No fingerprinting, and no persistent identifier that follows you off this domain.
03Product analytics
Inside the application we record first-party usage telemetry — pages viewed, features used, error events and performance timings — associated with your account rather than with any individual. No client-identifying information appears in any telemetry event. Matters are identified by matter number and petition category only.
Marketing site analytics are aggregate and first-party: page views, referrer and country, with IP addresses truncated before storage and no cross-session identifier.
04Controlling cookies
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking the strictly necessary cookies will prevent you from signing in to the application; the marketing site works normally without any of them.
Functional preferences can also be reset from within the application under account settings.
05Changes
If we ever introduce a cookie that requires consent, we will implement a consent mechanism before doing so and update this page. We have no plans to.
